1. Our commitment to safety
Peddro is built on trust between pet owners, sitters, and the broader community. We take action when conduct threatens the safety of pets, people, or the integrity of our platform.
All account actions are proportional to the severity of the issue and are based on available evidence. We aim to be fair and transparent in every decision we make.
2. Types of account action
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Peddro may take one of the following actions:

Warning
A written notice sent to your account. Your account remains fully active. Typically issued for first-time minor violations or policy misunderstandings.

Booking restriction
You are temporarily unable to accept or make new bookings. Existing bookings are honored and completed as scheduled.

Temporary suspension
Account access is restricted for a defined period, typically 7 to 30 days. You cannot log in, message other users, or manage bookings during the suspension.

Permanent closure
Your account is terminated and you are not eligible for reinstatement. Future bookings are cancelled and owners are refunded for unprovided services. In-progress bookings are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. You may not create a new account.

Emergency removal
Immediate account closure without prior warning. Reserved for situations where there is an imminent risk to the safety of pets, people, or platform integrity.
3. Reasons for account action
Account action may be taken for conduct in any of the following categories:
Animal welfare
Neglect or failure to provide agreed-upon care
Unsafe or hazardous conditions for animals
Leaving pets unattended when not agreed upon with the owner
Unsafe environment
Hazardous conditions in the sitter's home or care location
Unsanitary living environment
Unsecured areas where pets could escape or be injured
Nondisclosure
Hiding known behavioral issues or aggression
Failing to disclose medical conditions or medications
Withholding bite history or other safety-relevant information
Harassment or abuse
Threatening or abusive language toward other users
Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any protected characteristic
Intimidation of other users or Peddro staff
Fraud
Fake reviews or false claims about services
Identity misrepresentation or false documentation
Submitting fraudulent booking or payment information
Off-platform fee evasion
Directing users to pay outside of Peddro to avoid platform fees
Soliciting or accepting payment through personal channels for bookings initiated on Peddro
Review manipulation
Soliciting fake or incentivized reviews
Offering discounts or payments in exchange for positive reviews
Posting retaliatory reviews in response to legitimate feedback
No-shows and abandonment
Repeated failure to show up for confirmed bookings
Abandoning care responsibilities mid-booking
Unauthorized subs
