Booking Protection

1. Your booking is protected
When you book and pay through Peddro, your booking comes with built-in protections designed to give you peace of mind. These protections cover sitter cancellations, no-shows, and certain service disruptions.
Here is what is covered when you pay through the platform:
Full refund if a sitter cancels and services are not provided
Rebooking assistance to help you find a replacement sitter
Courtesy credit for last-minute sitter cancellations
No-show protection with automatic refund processing
These protections only apply to bookings made and paid for through the Peddro platform. Arrangements made outside of Peddro (cash payments, off-platform communication) are not covered.
2. What happens when a sitter cancels
If a sitter cancels a confirmed booking, you will receive a full refund for any services that were not provided. Peddro processes this refund automatically once the cancellation is confirmed.
In addition to your refund:
Peddro may assist in locating a replacement sitter in your area
If the sitter cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, Peddro may offer a courtesy credit toward a new booking to help offset the inconvenience
You are never obligated to accept a replacement sitter or use any credit offered
3. Owner cancellation policy
If you need to cancel a booking you have made, the refund you receive depends on when you cancel relative to the booking start date.

The 5% service fee retained on late cancellations covers payment processing and platform costs. This fee is non-refundable once the sitter has accepted and committed their availability.
4. Refund timing
When a refund is issued, it is processed within 1 to 3 business days. The refund is returned to your original payment method (the card used at checkout).
Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. Peddro does not control how quickly your bank posts the credit.

5. Rebooking support
If a sitter cancels your booking, Peddro may help you find a replacement. Here is how rebooking support works:
We use priority matching to identify available sitters in your area for your dates
You will receive suggestions based on your original booking preferences (service type, dog size, location)
You are under no obligation to accept any replacement sitter
If you choose to rebook, the new booking is a separate transaction with its own protections
Rebooking support is offered on a best-effort basis. Availability of replacement sitters depends on your area and the timing of the cancellation.
